"The Arts are an essential part of public education. From dance and music to theatre and the visual arts, the arts give children a unique means of expression, capturing their passions and emotions, and allowing them to explore new ideas, subject matter, and cultures. They bring us joy in every aspect of our lives." -Dr. Terry Bergeson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Washington State
The Dark Horse Performing Arts Foundation believes that performing arts in the Military and
Veteran communities are vital for both Active and Veterans, to use the performing arts to
combat the hidden battle of PTSD and other mental/physical disabilities. The Dark Horse
Performing Arts Foundation focuses their efforts on raising money to promote programs
currently within the regional military, veteran and retiree communities to offer support.
Founded in 2013, this public charity focused their beginning years on supporting the local
Veteran and Active military performing arts community in the Riverside and Los Angeles, CA
area. Dark Horse Foundation works in conjunction with qualified groups to raise funds to supplement the needs they have to reach their goals. Our organization strive to mentor, assist, and teach performing arts groups within the military community and regional veteran organizations in ways to become self-sufficient and realize their dreams through perseverance and hard work. Every fundraising event will help raise funds to be donated to Southern California performing arts program in military communities and veteran operated organizations or groups.
